1

All-On-X Full Mouth Dental Implants

How long has it been since you felt truly confident smiling? Ate more than a soft food diet? Didn’t feel oral pain or discomfort? Suffering from many failing or missing teeth can take both a physical and emotional toll on you. Dr. Matthews offers full mouth dental implant options such as the All-On-X procedure and Teeth-In-A-Day to restore entire full arches of teeth.

2

Implant Supported Dentures

Implanted supported dentures, also known as snap-in dentures, might just be a great option for you to consider to get back to a place of increased self-confidence again regarding your smile. Using 2 to 4 implants, over-dentures can help limit bone recession and expand food choices to patients currently utilizing traditional dentures or without teeth.

3

Single Dental Implants

For patients that have lost one or multiple teeth, they may believe that dental bridges are their only solution. However, a bridge does not stimulate the jaw bone. Without stimulation, the bone wears away, which could affect other teeth and can change the way the bridge fits. Dr. Matthews offers single dental implants options. Implants can replace any tooth and function and look just like a natural tooth, which is difficult for a bridge to do.

4

Zygomatic & Pterygoid Implants

Surgical implant placement involves anchoring titanium implant posts into the jawbone of the maxilla, for secure attachment of the dental prosthetic. For patients with severe jawbone loss, Dr. Matthews offers zygomatic and pterygoid implants, which utilize the dense bone mass of the cheekbone in order to surgically place the titanium implant post. All zygomatic/pterygoid implants require an initial consultation with Dr. Matthews.

5

IV & General Dental Sedation

Many patients who have dental anxiety end up ignoring dangerous symptoms and skipping treatment due to their fear of visiting the dentist’s office. Given that we have a full range of anesthesia and dental sedation options in Sidney, MT, there really is no reason to let this happen to you. We have licensed anesthesia providers on staff, including Dr. Barrie Matthews, who has had years of advanced training beyond dental school.

Dental FAQ | Big Sky Smile Center - Sidney, MT

Dental implants are dental prosthetics that replace lost, missing and/or damaged teeth. First, the entire tooth and root structures are removed. Next, rigid titanium implant posts are surgically placed into the jaw, which fuse after several months with surrounding bone. An abutment is then attached to the implant post, which serves to accept the final prosthesis (replacement teeth) to deliver over 95% of the use and functionality of healthy natural teeth.

If you have missing teeth and/or teeth that are severely rotted or damaged, then you are a viable candidate for implant surgery. Depending on the state of your oral health, Dr. Matthews offers a variety of dental implant options that can fully restore and reconstruct your smile, which will help to give you the health, happiness and confidence you need to live a happy and productive life.

The cost of dental implants will vary depending on the exact procedure you’re having done. Dr. Matthews performs single dental implants, full arch implants and zygomatic/pterygoid implants, all of which differ in cost. To find out which type of implant best suits you, call our office today and schedule a dental implant consultation with Dr. Matthews.

The surgical process of implant placement can typically be done in a single visit to our Miles City, MT office. However, the entire process of the bone permanently fusing with the titanium implant post can take several months. For a single implant, or implant bridge, after adequate healing, the Big Sky Smile Center team will then take a digital impression to begin the fabrication of your new tooth or bridge that will sit on top of your implant or two implants.  You will then get your new permanent tooth or bridge a few weeks after that digital impression.  With the All-On-X for Teeth-In-A-Day procedure, in most cases, you will get your new set of temporary teeth a few hours following surgery! You will get your final set of teeth after you have used and love your temporary set of teeth. In order to make your procedure as comfortable and painless as possible, Big Sky Smile Center offers IV sedation and General Anesthesia.

Hopefully, years and years and years! Dental implants are far more durable and rigid than traditional dentures. In most cases, patients enjoy years of use with good home hygiene and routine dental checkups. For this reason, dental implants are the “gold standard” option for replacing missing teeth and providing full mouth reconstructive care.
