Business of the Year: Big Sky Smile Center
The Big Sky Smile Center opened its doors for business at 2600 Main in January 2009. In
just a year's time, it has grown from a staff of three to nine employees, including dental
hygienists, dental assistants, and an office manager, as well as Dr. Barrie Matthews. "This
facility is in a constant state of growth, whether it be through
aesthetic enhancements or implementation of state of the art dental equipment," said Miles
City Area Chamber of Commerce director John Laney. Opening with two operatories, the
business now uses six, with the growth potential to use nine. Big Sky Smile Center has
actively recruited professional dental specialists to visit the center to provide specialty
services so patients can be treated right here in Miles City. Dr.
Matthews plans to initiate implant placements in the coming year. For their achievements in
2009 and with great expectations for the future, Big Sky Smile Center is the 2009 Business
of the Year.

Barrie and his wife, Anna, welcomed their
first child on December 6, 2008! Jackson
Mills Matthews spends his days eating,
sleeping, playing with his mama, and simply
being cute. He already enjoys visiting his
dad at the office and loves all the attention
he gets from the sweet ladies there.

High School Chorale sang
beautifully for the tree
lighting and Big Sky Smile
Center staff served some
warm cider, hot chocolate
and treats!
